Jazz & Picnic Sundays in the Forest – Elif Çağlar
One of Lifepark’s best-loved events, the Jazz & Picnic Sundays in the Forest series, continues with Elif Çağlar on Sunday 12 November.
Unlike any jazz festival held in Turkey before, Jazz & Picnic in the Forest has the feel of a picnic, with well-known artists on stage at Lifepark’s glass-walled indoor venue Cam Bahçe. The series runs until the end of November.

ELİF ÇAĞLAR DUO
The first Turkish musician to graduate with honours from the Aaron Copland School of Music, Elif Çağlar has performed at prestigious festivals and clubs in Turkey and around the world. She has won “Best Jazz Artist” three times at the Radyo Boğaziçi Music Awards and has made four albums, two of them with world-famous American and Italian jazz musicians. She is joined on stage by Can Cankaya on piano.
LEYANNER CHIBAS DUPORTE
The Cuban artist began her career in 2005 after graduating from the Eduardo García Delgado school. She has performed with many groups in Cuba and Turkey, including Ayhan Sicimoğlu’s Latin All Stars, and at many jazz festivals, and now leads her own band. Leyanner performs much-loved songs old and new with Afro-Cuban rhythms, a powerful voice and a lively repertoire, accompanied by İlkan Atay on piano, Gündüzcan Çetinkaya on bass and Rafael Almaguer Molina on percussion.
